Our mission is to enrich and connect the lives of people who live or work in our area.
We are entirely volunteer run, a 24 hours a day radio station serving an area of 600,000 people and licenced and regulated by Ofcom
We give exposure to local businesses, charities and not for profits with coverage on the radio. We feature over twenty local people every week on the radio, talking about the things which matter to them, their passions, their aims and their challenges.
We offer opportunities for people to gain skills that can lead to employment. For example, Callum shared, “You and everyone at Mix have been great to work with… gave me some mojo back.” Similarly, Sam expressed gratitude for building confidence and providing experience to start a career.
Featuring local bands and artists and their music, we give them a vital outlet on their route to stardom. Promoting local theatre, previewing shows and talking to the producers and actors, helps keep local theatre front of mind, and talking to local artists and authors and publicising their work; it all helps to support a thriving arts scene.
