Step into the legacy of Bernard Shaw, whose orchard was the apple of his eye, and join us for this special garden opening to celebrate autumn. Whether you’re an apple enthusiast, an orchard owner, or simply looking for a delightful family day out, there’s something for everyone.
Highlights of the day:
• Family apple hunt: join a treasure hunt around our beautiful garden
• Orchard tastings: savour samples and juice of over 20 heritage apple varieties from Shaw’s historic orchard. You might just discover your new favourite! Plus, purchase your picks to take home.
• Expert sessions: join Senior Gardener, Matt, every hour for practical and insightful sessions on orchard care, packed with juicy tips to help your own orchard thrive.
• Apple identification: learn the ins and outs of apple identification and discover how you can start identifying varieties in your own orchard.
• Apple-themed treats: indulge in freshly baked, apple-inspired refreshments that capture the taste of the season
