More about: Charity
Our fun and traditional celebration of English Apples is a non-ticketed event and occurs on the first Sunday in October.
There really is something for everyone at this popular Sunday afternoon event. Entry is free, although if you would like to make a small donation to Highfield Park Trust, we would be very grateful.
The centre-piece of the event is always a sensational local band and you could just come along and listen to them whilst indulging in homemade cake with a cup of tea or coffee from the Apple Cafe. Or you could purchase our own apple juice and cider, sourced from the historic orchards within the park. An informative apple juicing demonstration will show young and old alike how our apple juice is made and our apple based games will keep the children amused all afternoon. Craft stalls can be explored by the whole family whilst a local bee keeper will also be present, so you can ask him about bee conservation and buy some of his delicious honey. Highfield Park Trust will have a stand and you can find out more about the park and the work of the Trust.
This is a big event for the Trust to manage and we would be grateful to hear from anybody who may be able to support us in the preparation and running of the event on the day. If you can’t, then please just come along, have a lot of fun and support the work of Highfield Park Trust!
