de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra Concert: Scottish Fantasies

Sun Feb 6th
  16:00 to 18:15
Weston Auditorium, Mosquito Way, Hatfield, UK

A concert of music from Bruch, Arnold and Mendelssohn, inspired by Scotland.

The de Havilland Philharmonic returns to full strength with a wintry-themed concert of music inspired by Scotland.

The beautifully lyrical Bruch Scottish Fantasy with violin soloist Sini Simonen, will be partnered by Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances, to musically create a picture of Scotland.

Mendelssohn also visited Scotland and was inspired not only to write his hugely popular Hebrides Overture, but also Symphony No.3, known as the ‘Scottish Symphony’.
