We’re running an Easter holiday event for children to learn more about canal heritage and have a whole lot of fun!

Morning activity workshop for children over 7 years old
From 9:30 am—1:00 pm, £15.50
At our canal centre in Batchworth Lock, your children will have the opportunity to create two craft items, choosing from a peg doll, a fridge magnet, or a knotted key ring. They’ll also explore our historic narrowboat, enjoy a boat ride through the lock, and join an exciting Easter egg hunt. Every child will receive a delicious chocolate Easter egg!
No adult accompaniment is required, so you can relax at the lockside cafe, The Café@Lock81, while they have fun.

Afternoon story boat ride and Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages
At 2:00 pm; 2:45 pm and 3:30 pm, 4:15 pm*, £6:00 for children; £6 for adults.
*New time due to high demand!
The children will enjoy an engaging story on the boat trip from Batchworth Lock before joining an exciting Easter egg hunt. Every child will receive a delicious chocolate Easter egg!
You can relax with a hot drink and a hot cross bun while your children enjoy squash and biscuits on the boat. In addition, a variety of refreshments are available at the lockside cafe, Café@Lock81
The boat trip lasts approximately an hour, including the Easter egg hunt and an adult must accompany your child.
