Church organises Easter Trail in St Albans park

The drama of the Easter story will be brought to life in Clarence Park, St Albans, on Good Friday, April 18th – with prizes for anyone who follows the special Easter Trail.

Members of St Paul’s Church, Hatfield Road, will be acting out episodes from the last days of Jesus Christ’s life, his death and resurrection from 1.45pm in the park on Clarence Road, Fleetville. The culmination will be in the iconic bandstand at 3pm.

People following the Trail can collect stamps on a special Trail Card. When this is full, they can collect an Easter prize!

Rev Martin Watson of St Paul’s explained: ““The trail is a special event that always attracts people to come and watch what’s happening. Many people aren’t familiar with the events of that first Easter so it’s good to be able to tell the story in a fun, interactive way.

“Christ’s death and resurrection are at the centre of what Christians believe, and the hope of new life that they bring to a hurting world is a message that’s so relevant for today.”

The Trail will be based around the bandstand side of the park, nearest to Hatfield Road.
