UH Arts + Culture are thrilled to present Static – a new art exhibition examining our interactions with screens, presented by University Hertfordshire Arts + Culture. Static is a solo exhibition of new work by artist, Fiona Curran which moves between small-scale intimate works and large-scale installations and explores the impacts of screen-based technologies on the decline of our sensory engagement with the world.

Located in the Art + Design Gallery at the University of Hertfordshire College Lane Campus, the exhibition runs from 9 March – 29 April 2023.

Opening times:

Monday– Friday 10:00-16:00

Saturdays– only open on 11 March and 29 April 11:00– 15:00

Sundays– CLOSED

Exhibition activities:

8 March, 17:00– 18:30– Opening Reception

23 March, 17:00– 18:30– Artist in Conversation Talk

29 April, 11:00– 15:00– Join us for the final Saturday or “Sat-ART-day” of the exhibition which includes FREE drop-in art activities for all ages, as well as a Sculpture Walk and a Curator’s tour of the exhibition!

Entry: FREE

Booking: Encouraged, but not essential, for our FREE supporting events. Please see our website for details.

Parking: FREE for the first two hours with a £2 fee thereafter and FREE on Saturdays

Café facilities: Open Monday– Friday for all visitors

Accessibility: Accessible parking and toilets available and the entrance to the Art + Design Gallery is at ground level
