Synopsis
An idyllic weekend in the country takes an unexpected turn as four guests, each invited by different members of the bohemian Bliss family, arrive at their impressive home. Crossed wires, surprising confessions and declarations of love abound. The promise of a peaceful retreat is quickly dispelled as the guests are left confused, embarrassed and desperate to get away.
Will it be hay fever or the comic exploits of the bizarre ensemble that leave you with a tear in your eye? This exceptional comedy from Noël Coward was described by the Evening Standard as ‘a celebration of abnormality and at the same time a disquieting study of both the pleasures and the pains of not being able to restrain oneself.’
