ALEX SCOTT & FRIENDS: CHARITY GIG – 14th DECEMBER from 7pm
Alex Scott is a local singer/songwriter and plays regularly in Herts and London.
He has recently been spending some spare time working with people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. As a musician, he has been playing music in a therapeutic capacity to engage and inspire people suffering with this disease…to help them re-live some deeply personal memories and bring some joy into their lives.
Alex now dedicates time every week to support a small locally based charity, ‘Herts Musical Memories’, playing to a group of people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease who really appreciate music.
Singing and music is really important for people with memory loss and given his recent experience, Alex has decided to host a fundraising event for Herts Musical Memories at:
‘The Garden Rooms’ in Market Street, Watford on 14th December, from 7pm.
The night will be a celebration of music, showcasing up to ten highly talented local artists who will each play a short set, and feature a range of covers and original music to help raise funds for this small, but critically important charity.
The performers, who have kindly donated their time for this event, will be announced shortly.
Entry is free.
