Nina Simone was one of the most extraordinary artists of the twentieth century, an icon and consummate musical storyteller, who used her remarkable talent to create a legacy of liberation, empowerment, passion, and love through a magnificent body of work.

By the end of her life she was enjoying an unprecedented degree of recognition.

Her music was enjoyed by millions through her many recordings and exposure through movies, television and online. She sold over one million CDs in the last decade of her life, making her a global best-seller.

She adds about the live shows:

“As a black female Nina Simone paved the way for artists of my generation to not give up on their dreams and hopes. I am delighted to be celebrating her life and legacy with some of UKs top musicians”
