More about: Music, Soul Music

Lady Nade pays tribute to the high priestess of soul; the perfect live music experience for theater shows, jazz and blues clubs, venues and festivals across the UK.

Nina Simone was one of the most extraordinary artists of the twentieth century, an icon and consummate musical storyteller, who used her remarkable talent to create a legacy of liberation, empowerment, passion, and love through a magnificent body of work.

By the end of her life she was enjoying an unprecedented degree of recognition.

Her music was enjoyed by millions through her many recordings and exposure through movies, television and online. She sold over one million CDs in the last decade of her life, making her a global best-seller.

It’s often been said in reviews and by fans that Lady Nade’s voice is similar to that of Nina Simone, and something Lady Nade is known for is paying tribute to the artists who have been key influences in her life;

“I grew up listening to my grandads mix tapes and discovered Nina Simone – she has gone on to have a song for every moment of my life, she has held me in times of joy, despair, love, laughter and hope”.

She adds about the live shows:

“As a black female Nina Simone paved the way for artists of my generation to not give up on their dreams and hopes. I am delighted to be celebrating her life and legacy with some of UKs top musicians”
