Empowering Young People through Boot Camp Workshops.

Mix Mornings with Neil Rodger

The Boot Camp Centre in Hoddesdon is a new initiative offering workshops designed to support young people aged 11-16 who may be facing:
• Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Behavioural challenges
• Exclusion from school
• Difficulty engaging with mainstream education.

The workshops integrate the physical, nutritional, and psychological aspects of health and well-being, using a military boot camp-themed approach – the goal being to empower students with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges — whether in school, at home, or during extracurricular activities. The focus is on equipping students with skills to stay calm, collected, and in control during difficult situations. Iain Pritchard spoke to Mark Hooks to find out more
