I love to learn new things and even though we all feel strongly about environmental issues, we don’t actually know the ins and outs of the subject. So I saw this talk as an opportunity to learn more about carbon emissions and farming in relation to climate change.
Walking around the forest with a group was fun and learning about real environmental issues from a more science based perspective was very enlightening!
I was impressed by the depth of knowledge of the speaker and his colleague, both longstanding volunteers for the Woodland Trust – a charity that owns quite a bit of land in the UK and works tirelessly to protect it. It was quite an unusual evening out.
