Challenge to go ahead for Luton Airport Expansion.

In this week’s Environment Matters podcast, John Hale, Chair of the Campaign Group St Albans Quieter Skies, explains how the Secretary of State for Transport was able to grant permission for expansion of Luton Airport in spite of recommendations from planning inspectors that permission be refused and guidance from the government’s Climate Change Committee that expansion in the aviation sector only be permitted when it cuts its emission levels. He talks about the likely effects on local roads and trains, air quality and noise levels and explains what local airport opposition groups are doing now.

Here’s the link to the crowd fund for campaign group LADACAN to pay the legal fees for a legal challenge to the decision to allow the expansion of Luton Airport https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/stop-luton-airport-expansion/
