Helping Gen Alpha and Baby Bank Herts

Podcast

Helping Gen Alpha and Baby Bank Herts.

On this week’s Parents’ Show, Jen meets up with Kate Pattison and Lucy Sutton, producers of the AlphaBites podcast series. It’s a podcast that dives into conversations about what is out there for Generation Alpha, the generation of children born between 2010 and 2025 and so aged between zero and 14 at the moment.

It’s about how the future could look, how we can nurture this generation in the best way possible. Jen, Kate and Lucy discuss the challenges faced by these children born into a digital world and how the jobs they will end up doing may yet not exist. The podcast is available on all the usual platforms.

In part 2, Jen meets Aida and Dee, who run Baby Bank Herts. Baby Bank Herts was set up with the aim of helping local families facing hardship and is made possible solelyby volunteers, who are passionate about both helping to allieviate child poverty and encouraging recycling. Their objective is to relieve and prevent poverty within local families by sourcing new as well as second hand items and then distributing them to children in desperate need across Hertfordshire. Jen asks them how the charity was founded and what they need to grow this desperately needed resource.

That’s this Thursday at 7p on 92.6FM, online at https://mix926.com and on your smartspeaker.

The Parents’ Show is sponsored by Rayden Solicitors.
