Having a positive relationship with your child or teen is important to every parent. But there is no magic formula, it takes work and patience and can be very challenging.

Lydia and Seema spoke to two guests to help arm us with some positive strategies to building positive relationships with our children and managing family stress.

Deborah Christie is Professor of Paediatric and Adolescent Psychology and Consultant clinical psychologist/clinical lead for paediatric and adolescent psychological services at University College London Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is currently President of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and Co-Editor in Chief of Clinical Child Psychology and Psychiatry.

And Oona Alexander has 25 years’ experience working with children and families as a teacher, parent and child leader and parenting mentor. She’s a Pikler expert, trained parent educator and has a postgraduate qualification in Early Years.

We also spoke to Maddy from the Level Trust.
