Continuing our theme of ‘New Year, New You’, we are looking at ways in which we as parents can be good role models for our children by taking care of ourselves and finding some ‘me-time’ with hobbies and activities.

First, Lydia we speak to Barrie from Greatin8, a St Albans-based fitness trainer who tells us how the smallest things can make a difference to our wellbeing.

Then, if you’re looking for a new hobby that gives you a sense of satisfaction, upholstery repair could be for you. Lydia hears from Liz Allsop of the St Albans Upholstery School about how popular their classes are and how they also actually breed a sense of community and help wellbeing.

Lastly, Lydia and Neil are joined by Jessica Smith from our sponsor Rayden Solicitors who tells them about the  ‘no fault divorce’ legislation that came into force last April.
