Following the tragic loss of Molly in 2017, the Russell family and their friends set-up a charitable foundation in Molly’s memory, with aim of preventing suicide, targeted towards young people under the age of 25.

The Molly Rose Foundation wants to help reach those at risk of suicide and connect them to the help, support, and practical advice they need.

Lydia spoke to Lisa and Gareth from the foundation about Molly, the work they do and the hopes they have for the upcoming online safety legislation to help prevent these cases.

In part two Environment Matters’ Amanda Yorwerth visited Beaumont School to hear what the Beaumont School Sustainability Club have been up to.

They’ve planted trees, protected areas for rewilding and ensured there’s plenty for pollinators, but it’s not all plain sailing.

Amanda met with Beaumont School Sustainability Lead, Trudie Gorham, physics technician and Biodiversity Rewilding Lead Dr Lucy Bomphrey and Sustainability Club members, Tilly, Rosie, Dania, Evie, Darcy, Bella, Eliza and Phoebe, who tell Amanda what they’ve done to make their school grounds more biodiverse, the problems they have overcome, and how working together on this has helped them in an environmentally challenging time.

Finally, to mark World Book Day this Thursday 6th March, St Albans mum and children’s author Jennifer Sprinks popped in to the studios to talk to Iain Pritchard about her new book aimed at toddlers, Furiosaurus.
