King Violet up next on the Mix Mornings Acoustic Sessions.

Rewind to Friday 16th December at 9.00am

One of St Albans best known rock bands,  King Violet are the  guests on Mix Mornings this Friday.  Described as an alternative rock band  dressed up with pop, sass and mystery, Mai and Claudia will be dropping into the studios to talk about their music, and play a few acoustic tracks live in the studio, exclusively for our listeners.   Join us after 11:00 am to hear how this highly regarded St Albans based band sound live in our Trestle studios.

Also we will be joined by sisters Kim Ansell and Lisa Read from the company Inky Flamingo  who have between them written and illustrated a delightful new children’s book – Frederick the Fox. They will share with us how they came to produce  this charming book together.

And as if that wasn’t enough for one show, we will be joined by Emma Smith the driving force behind The Alban Connection, a collaboration of locallys based musicians, who have just released their Album,  Hope, to raise money for homelessness charities in St Albans. There may be a few musical surprises along the way as well.

All this and the usual Friday fun and games from 09:00 am on Friday morning with Steve Simpson , right here on your radio at 92.6 fm, online at mix926.com, and on your smart speaker.
