This week’s Parents’ Show kicks off a new series we’re calling Talking Heads, where we interview the Headteachers from our local schools to find out makes them and their schools tick.
Our first guest is Andy Ford, from St George’s School in Harpenden. Andy talks to Vivien Glass about his career, his beliefs, his methods, school life and what he hopes for the future of the school.

In part 2, Lydia is joined by Marcus O’Shaughnessy, of Imaginative Reaction, a curated collection of art of all styles including music. Marcus talks to Lydia about how he became an art curator, what it means and how he has taken on the role of helping all type of people explore their creative side.
Marcus is inviting children from 4-16 to take part in the Young Creatives Art Competition, which will take place at Burston Garden Centre in St Albans on August 3rd. There are many categories but the overall theme is “Our Creative Roots”, exploring themes of nature, growth, community, and imagination. You can register here and there will be plenty for the family to see and do on the day.
That’s this Sunday at 8pm and next Thursday at 7pm on 92.6FM, DAB+, online at mix926.com and on your smartspeaker.
The Parents’ Show is sponsored by Rayden Solicitors.
