I mentioned that I was gardening in late March on my Facebook page and received a few messages that made me smile like “Blimey Marisa you must be bored!” or “Are you okay Marisa?” Gardening was never really my thing. I was just dabbling in it here and there, then discovered that I now quite like it.
The truth is, I always felt overwhelmed by the hard work involved, the weeding and the digging, then I felt despondent because it was quite a narrow patch of land that I didn’t really know what to do with. Lockdown has allowed me to slow down a little and face it. Thanks to the help and support of my mother-in-law who used to tend a lush one-acre country garden, I felt encouraged and enthused!
