We broadcast programmes from various locations such as Festivals and Fairs and from indoor venues such as hotels during the year. Typically there will be up to 20 such broadcasts each year. Each needs to be planned in advance, working with the event organisers and other volunteers. The Plan will include logistics (getting equipment and people to the site and setting everything up ready to broadcast), technical facilities, programme times and content, engaging producers and presenters plus engineers and audio editors from amongst our volunteers.
The OB Assistant Manager will work with OB Manager Clive Glover who will involve you in every aspect of this role with a view that you will be able to take over from him at some time in future.

This role will provide opportunities to meet and work with a wide variety of people in the local community who organise events including large public events like festivals and formal events like busines Awards. Plus learning to plan and organise events within time constraints and being flexible in dealing with inevitable issues and problems that arise.
