The Club has a strong tradition of attracting members of different ages and diverse backgrounds and prides itself on its success with those who are new to electronics. It holds monthly meetings for demonstrations, discussions and talks from members and invited speakers. It has a well-equipped hill-top cabin, high in the Chiltern Hills which enables members to connect their own radio equipment to an impressive multi band antenna array.

VARC operates club nets each week on different bands and an ‘on air’ Morse practice session. It also participates in contests throughout the year

As well as its regular activities, the Club runs courses and holds examinations for Foundation, Intermediate and Advance level licences.
