This May, we are thrilled to team up with the University of Hertfordshire’s Sonic Herts Festival and celebrate music from the stage and screen.

Our May concert coincides with the Sonic Herts Festival – the University’s annual music festival – and this year, the Orchestra is excited to perform music from the giants of the big screen!
The concert opens the 60-year-old classic score from Elmer Bernstein for The Great Escape followed by the quintessential suite of tunes from the James Bond films. Moving to the current golden era of film, the orchestra visits scores from the contemporary giants Hans Zimmer and John Williams, who both still write music for films.
