The St Albans Branch of the Locomotive Club of Great Britain present a railway photographic show entitled ‘The Peter Bland Railway Photograph Collection: The Story Continues PT2’. The presenter will be Mr Bryan Cross. Peter Bland was a prolific railway photographer over many years and this talk covers the early to mid-1950s, the subject matter being a mixture of (mainly) steam locomotives on the domestic railway network of the time together with a cross-section of industrial machines. (The talk is a continuation of one such show from 2023.) This event takes place on Thursday 14th March 2024 at the St Bartholomew’s Church at 47 Vesta Avenue, St Albans AL1 2PE. All are welcome, half-time refreshments are served and there is free car parking at the meeting venue. The Branch would like to request a £5 donation from each attendee please – this helps with the cost of running the meeting.
