From the 18th March, we will be introducing a new daily local music feature to selected shows across our schedules, We will take the best of local music each week and feature them on our shows, alongside our normal playlist, not as part of it. We want to make local music stand out and not get lost amongst the rest of our music.
Each featured track will be accompanied by a short description of the artist, so that the presenter can use it to feature the track as local music, and promote the artist.
Doing it this way will give much needed exposure to local artists, demonstrate the quality of our local talent, and give Mix 92.6 yet another innovative, high quality local feature to engage with our audience.
We will trial it for a few weeks, and the feature will be scheduled on alternate days into Mix Mornings and Drive and also into the Evening Sessions.
As a presenter, you might want to say something like
” Next up, on todays Herts Beat, we are featuring a local band from St Albans. This is Tourist Attraction and the follow up single to their big hit from 2023, You Were Right ”
The name Herts Beat may yet change !!!
