Even on International Women’s Day we didn’t hear much about menstruation. The Women’s Environment Network think we should be talking about it more, especially as disposable sanitary products cause environmental problems. WEN member Ruby Raut talks about the problems, about the solutions and about the great reception she received at Samuel Ryder Academy when she ran an Environmenstrual Session for them. She also talked about the issues surrounding menstruation in her country of birth, Nepal, and how the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund, with which she is also involved hopes to address these issues.
