What do we think about a bottle reward and return scheme?.

Michael Gove, the Environment Secretary is seeking to boost recycling rates and is considering a reward and return scheme for bottles. Plastic bottles are of particular concern because of the problems that plastic causes in oceans and other parts of the environment, so in this edition of Environment Matters we hear views from a couple of people around St.Albans who would be most affected by such a scheme – Louise Palmer, Waste and Recycling Officer from St.Albans District Council and Micheal who, with his wife, runs the Courtyard Cafe on Hatfield Road.
