After many months of heats and knockouts, The Horn’s Battle of The Bands comes to a head on Thursday 17th August , with the grand final of this years competition pitting 4 bands against each other live on-stage at the Horn, each hoping to claim the ultimate prize.
The final this year will be fought between – Beaf, Sharper Side, Daybreak and Funky Monks and if you want to go along and watch the final , tickets for the event are still for sale from Thehorn.co.uk. at 9 pounds each – Thursday 17th at 8:00pm until 11:00pm
In addition, this year, Mix 92.6 is giving our listeners a chance to hear the bands in action with a special edition of Mix Studios: Live & Local which will be broadcast on Monday 14th August at 7:00pm. Steve Simpson will be talking to the four finalists to learn more about them and their music ahead of the final, and playing a track from each of them to give our listeners a flavour of what will be on offer on the night. Steve will also be part of the judging team at the final, and Mix 92.6 will be inviting the winning act to join us in our studios to record an acoustic session for broadcast later in the year as part of the amazing prize package for the winner .
