UNESCO World Radio Day on 13th February.

To be  read on Monday 13th Feb Shows, after the second track of the second hour of each daytime show.  That track will have the word “radio” in the Title, so reading this message out before hand will tie in to that.

Today is UNESCO World Radio Day.  Ever since 2011, the member states of UNESCO  have recognised the importance of radio as a communication medium with World Radio Day. That is because at the global level, radio remains the most widely consumed medium of all. This unique ability to reach out the widest audience means radio can shape a society’s experience of diversity, stand as an arena for all voices to speak out, be represented and heard , and particularly this year Radio can act as an instrument of peace.

Mix 92.6 is proud to  serve the  diverse communities across Hertfordshire, offering a wide variety of programs, viewpoints and content, reflecting the diversity of our audience, and to be a small part in the World’s radio community that promotes world peace and stability
