Foster Carers needed in Hertfordshire.

This week’s Parents’ Show is all about fostering, and Hertfordshire, like the rest of the UK is in a fostering crisis and urgently needs more foster carers to give young people a safe and loving home. There are currently over 1000 adopted children and only 400 foster homes.

In part 2, Lydia talks to Greta Lund, Service Manager at the Fostering Service of Herts County Council, who explains how interested families can apply to become foster carers, remuneration and support and what sort of training is available.

First though, Lydia speaks to John, who with his wife has been a foster carer for many years and believes it is his true vocation. This is a very moving interview.

That’s this Sunday at 8pm and next Thursday at 7pm on 92.6FM, DAB+, online at mix926.com and on your smartspeaker.

The Parents’ Show is sponsored by Rayden Solicitors.
