Grants for Warm Homes.

We need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our homes to help the climate, but additionally, if our houses are better insulated, are more energy efficient and incorporate renewable energy sources like solar PV, then our bills will be lower and our homes will be more comfortable and healthier.

So it’s good news for the planet and for local people that St Albans District Council has been given £1.5m from Department of Energy and Security Net Zero’s Warm Homes Fund to help cut carbon emissions around the District by giving grants for home energy improvements. In this week’s Environment Matters podcast, Cllr Jacqui Taylor explains who can apply for the grants, what the grants can be used for and how the whole scheme works.

For information about this and other grants that might be available to you for home energy improvements, and help with all your other home energy queries, the Better Homes Better Help people are super helpful and understanding so do make use of their service and encourage neighbours who you think could benefit to do so too.
