After our usual summer break (well, we are also parents, you know), we’re back and kicking off the new season with another episode about women and girls in STEM (or Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths to give the acronym its full title).
Vivien speaks to Michelle McDowell MBE, about her career in construction, her inspiration and journey, and some of the most memorable projects on which she as worked (which include the restoration of the Houses of Parliament and the refurbishment of the Royal Albert Hall!). Vivien asked Michelle when we might expect the ratio of men to women in engineering to be 50/50.
Mix Morning’s Elly hosted Zara Gooder, who has just launched Drama Tots St Albans & Harpenden, which is taking place at the Trestle Arts Base in St Albans on Wednesdays and The Harpenden Trust Halls on a Thursday. Zara talks about her own dramatic background and role as a TV Producer and the inspiration to show young children the joy of drama.
In part two, some regular contributors from our sponsors Rayden Solicitors, Lehna Gardiner and Bhini Phagura, join Lydia in the studio to talk about Collaborative Law, one of the new accepted Alternative Dispute Resolution options for divorce.
That’s this Thursday at 7pm and Sunday at 8pm on 92.6FM, on DAB+, online at mix926.com and on your smartspeaker.
The Parents’ Show is sponsored by Rayden Solicitors.
