Your ideas wanted for Victoria Street.

A chance has come up to make one of the key roads in St Albans more welcoming, more sustainable and safer for those travelling actively or on public transport.

Hertfordshire County Council is at the very start of making plans for Victoria Street – the road that runs from St Albans City Station right up to the town centre – and they’d like to hear your wishlist.

In this  Environment Matters podcast, Amanda Yorwerth finds out more from Cllr Phil Bibby, Executive Member, for Highways & Transport at Hertfordshire County Council.

Plus, a fruitful opportunity for schools, and a quacking good film at St Albans Cathedral for young nature lovers.

You can find the Victoria Street consultation here  www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/VictoriaStreet or you can go along to an exhibition Wednesday 30th October, 4pm – 7pm at Marlborough Road Church

And schools can apply online until 8 November 2024 for their free fruit trees or strawberry plants using the following link: veolia.co.uk/veolia-orchard.
