Rewind to Thursday 7th December at 7.00pm

Is our perception of Boarding Schools up date? Plus, living with Neurodiversity.

The Parents’ Show with Lydia, Andreea, Neil and Dave

Rayden Solicitors sponsors The Parents’ Show

On Thursday at 7pm, Andreea meets Lucy and Ryan Newman, Boarding Houseparents at Lockers Park Prep School, who tell us how the old image of a large room full of beds in a row is so totally opposite of what a boarding school is today.

They tell Andreea about the boarding options at the school and the sort of events that take place in the school house and how parents can explore the options at the school.

Then Lydia conducts an in-depth interview with Serena Baker, who works in children and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) in the NHS.

Lydia and Serena discuss ADHD diagnosis, at what age, and where to start looking for help.

She relates the experiences she had with her own son and how they have adapted their parenting skills and what the differences may be between girls and boys with ADHD. She shares some really useful practical tips and busts a few myths around ADHD and relates how long the condition has actually been recognised.

Listen on 92.6FM, online at mix926.com and on your smartspeaker.

The Parents’ Show is sponsored by Rayden Solicitors
