Following last week’s special on Hertfordshire musician Rod Argent, this Sunday Mike Naylor meets another member of the Zombies – ahead of his 80th birthday.
Colin Blunstone joined the St Albans band in 1961, but thought his singing career was over when the band split up. Colin reveals how his solo career began, why he moved to California, how he joined the Alan Parsons Project, and how he started singing LIVE again – after a gap of more than 20 years, leading to the Zombies reforming.
There are new tracks by Kathleen Edwards, Amy Alexander, Haim and Deacon Blue, anniversary music from the Four Tops & Bryan Adams and some classic songs for the Summer.
That’s Mike Naylor’s Music Mix – SUNDAY from 2 till 4 – on Smart Speakers, 92.6FM, DAB or online at Mix926.com
